We are excited to announce a new webinar series on the Management and Treatment of Myopathies, organised by the EURO-NMD Muscle Working Group.
This 10-part series will cover important topics on therapeutic and multidisciplinary care in myopathies. Webinars will be held on Thursdays at 16:00 CEST, starting in June 2025 with six weekly episodes and continuing in October 2025 with the final four.

- 12 June 2025 – 16:00 CEST –“Treatment in Idiopathic Inflammatory Myopathies” delivered by Prof. Marianne de Visser (Amsterdam University Medical Center, The Netherlands)
An overview of current and emerging treatment strategies for idiopathic inflammatory myopathies, focusing on clinical applications.

19 June 2025 – 16:00 CEST – “Pain Management in Myopathies” delivered by Dr. Stefanie Glaubitz (Department of Neurology, Universitätsmedizin Göttingen, Germany)
Discussion of pain as a frequent but often overlooked symptom in myopathies, with practical approaches to assessment and management.

26 June 2025 – 16:00 CEST – “Advances in Gene Therapy in Myopathies” delivered by Prof. Francesco Muntoni (University College of London, UK)
Presentation of the latest progress in gene therapy and its potential impact on the treatment of various myopathies.

03 July 2025 – 16:00 CEST – “Management of Cardiac Involvement in Myopathies” (more info to come) delivered by Prof. Eloisa Arbustini (Fondazione IRCCS Policlinico San Matteo, Italy)
Exploration of cardiac complications related to myopathies and guidance on diagnosis and treatment options.

17 July 2025 – 16:00 CEST – “Therapeutic Approaches in Centronuclear Myopathies” (more info to come) delivered by Dr. Johann Böhm (Translational Medicine and Neurogenetics Department – Institute of Genetics and Molecular and Cellular Biology – IGBMC)
Review of current and experimental therapeutic strategies for centronuclear myopathies, highlighting future directions.
