Association contre les maladies mitochondriales (AMMi)

Association contre les maladies mitochondriales (AMMi)

Founded in 1998, the AMMi association helps the families of patients suffering from mitochondrial diseases.

Today, more than 530 families are affected.

AMMi represents all those affected by mitochondrial diseases, which over the years has enabled us to acquire knowledge, list the various symptoms, learn about the different types of care available, and monitor support for diagnosis and treatment.

Thanks to the growing number of members and people concerned by mitochondrial diseases, AMMi has been able to play a positive role in the creation of reference centers, and to have at its side clinicians and researchers who are experts in our pathologies. This has also enabled us to draw on the support of organizations such as the Alliance for Rare Diseases, the AFM and Eurordis, and to co-found International Mito-Patient (IMP).
