Tanya Stojkovic

I was born in 1966 in Paris, France, where I studied Medicine at the University Pierre and Marie Curie Medicine School of Paris. I moved in 1990 in the Medicine school of Lille, France and graduated as neurologist in 1994. I moved in Paris in 1994 and worked in Pitié-Salpêtrière until 1996. I obtained a university degree in Neurophysiology and a master in Neurobiology. While discovering and perfecting my experience in electromyography in the lab directed by Dr Bouche, I became interested in the neuromuscular disorders and especially in peripheral nerve disorders. I came back to the University hospital in Lille from 1996 until 2006 where I developed the management of neuromuscular diseases: from nerve to muscle diseases. The implementation of neuromuscular reference center in Paris (institute of Myology) was a new challenge and I joined in 2006 the team of PR Eymard, in this new reference center at Pitié-Salpêtrière. From 2006 -2019: I was involved in different projects 2012 which reflect my areas of interest…

  • Inherited peripheral neuropathy: especially Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease
  • Myopathies with contractures
  • COL6 related myopathies
  • Alphadystroglycanopathies
  • Dysferlinopathies
  • Myasthenia: congenital and acquired forms

In 2019, I was named head of the Pitié-Salpêtrière neuromuscular reference center and vice-president of the French peripheral nerve society.
