The Pitié Salpêtrière University Hospital is a public healthcare establishment belonging to the Assistance Publique – Hôpitaux de Paris (AP-HP).
Pitié Salpêtrière is the largest hospital group in France, providing local and specialist care, teaching and research.
Located in the heart of the 13th arrondissement of Paris, it comprises 90 buildings spread over 33 hectares, with 77 departments grouped into 10 poles representing all existing medical activities.
Our reference center specializes in acquired and hereditary neuropathies (such as Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease), neuromuscular junction disorders (autoimmune and congenital myasthenia, Lambert-Eaton syndrome), and acquired or hereditary myopathies. We see patients following first-line specialist advice. We serve as the coordinating center for several multidisciplinary consultations (spinal muscular atrophy, CMT, channelopathies, congenital and autoimmune myasthenias, Pompe disease). We are responsible for two pre-indications (myopathies and unclassified hereditary neuropathies) as part of the France Genomic 2025 plan.
Our center is linked to the I-Motion Adult clinical trial platform, allowing us to include patients in multiple therapeutic protocols.
