Serge Braun is a scientist and biotech executive with a strong background in gene therapy and rare diseases. He holds a PharmD and PhD from the School of Pharmacy in Strasbourg, France.

From 2005 to 2025, Serge Braun served as Chief Scientific Officer and later Advisor to the Presidency at AFM-Telethon, a leading French non-profit organization focused on rare diseases and innovative therapies. He played a key role in shaping its scientific direction and impact.

Serge Braun is currently Chairman of the Board of Genosafe, a company specialized in quality control for biotherapeutics, and Director of Strategy for Neuromuscular Diseases at Genethon, a pioneering gene therapy research center.

With over 10 years in academic research (University of Strasbourg and USC Neuromuscular Center), 10 years in the biotech industry as Vice President of Research at Transgene SA, and more than 20 years in the non-profit sector, Serge Braun brings a unique, cross-sector perspective to biomedical innovation.

He is a member of the French National Academy of Pharmacy and sits on expert committees for venture capital firms and public organizations. He was also Vice President of Alsace BioValley and co-founder of Neurofit, a preclinical CRO specialized in neuroscience.

In addition to his scientific career, Serge Braun is the author of several books and novels.
