IRCCS Istituto delle Scienze Neurologiche di Bologna

The Institute of Neurological Sciences is a Scientific Institute for Research and Treatment (IRCCS) recognised by the Ministry of Health in 2011.
The Institute of Neurological Sciences is a hospital of excellence that pursues mainly clinical and translational research, i.e. research aimed at therapeutic applications.
The main research fields are neuromuscular diseases, neurodegenerative diseases and movement disorders, sleep disorders, epilepsy, as well as issues more closely related to neurosurgery and neuroradiology, such as transnasal endoscopic surgery techniques for the removal of pituitary tumours and new neuroimaging techniques.
