Objectives
The programme arose from the need for a comprehensive approach addressing all stages of the clinical pathway for NMD patients, extending beyond the neuromuscular sphere. Its inclusive scope emphasizes the importance of multidisciplinary care for diverse neuromuscular conditions.
Participants will benefit from expert insights shared by a highly qualified Faculty, including clinicians representing various disciplines, psychologists, a speech and language expert, a dietitian, and patient representatives.
Particular attention will be given to the importance of using appropriate communication in sensitive situations, such as delivering a diagnosis, discussing palliative care, and to applying these skills in daily practice. A dedicated presentation and a hands-on session featuring patient representatives will provide direct insights into the patient journey.
Attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of the multidisciplinary approach to NMD care, which will help them develop new perspectives and practical skills to enhance care in their respective teams and institutions.
