FFM Neuromuscular Disorders Association of Norway
Foreningen for muskelsyke - FFM
The Norwegian Muscular Dystrophy Association (FFM) is a health organization and interest group for people with muscle disease and their relatives. The organization has 13 county chapters. FFM runs information activities and peer support services, and acts as a mouthpiece for its members’ rights and interests vis-à-vis authorities and public bodies.
“Muscle disease” is an umbrella term for a wide range of neuromuscular diseases. It is estimated that around 4,000 Norwegians have one of these disease variants. Of these, around ten percent are probably children.
The Norwegian Association for Muscular Dystrophy publishes the member magazine Muskelnytt four times a year.
