The RE(ACT) – Rare Disease Research Congress will return for its ninth edition from 10 to 12 March 2027 in Budapest, bringing together the international rare disease research community for three days of scientific exchange, collaboration and discussion.
Since its launch in 2012 by the BLACKSWAN Foundation, RE(ACT) has provided a platform for researchers, healthcare professionals, patient representatives and other stakeholders to share advances in rare disease research, foster new collaborations and help translate scientific progress into meaningful benefits for people living with rare diseases.
Patients, families and advocacy organisations also play an important role in the Congress, helping to ensure that research priorities remain closely connected to unmet needs and lived experience.
The 2027 edition is co-organised by the European Rare Diseases Research Alliance (ERDERA) and the International Rare Diseases Research Consortium (IRDiRC), in partnership with EURORDIS – Rare Diseases Europe and Rare Diseases International (RDI).
