Every February, coinciding with Rare Disease Day, the EURORDIS Black Pearl Awards celebrate the exceptional contributions of individuals and organizations improving the lives of those affected by rare diseases. These awards recognize remarkable achievements, innovation, and dedication within the rare disease community.
Since its inception in 2012, EURORDIS-Rare Diseases Europe has hosted this prestigious event to honor patient advocates, organizations, policymakers, researchers, companies, and others who go above and beyond for this cause.
In February 2023, the awards transformed into a hybrid event, welcoming participants to join the live ceremony and gala dinner in Brussels or connect online from anywhere in the world. This special evening blends celebration, learning, and artistic performances.
