The 15th European Epilepsy Congress (EEC) is organised under the auspices of the International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE), which holds regional congresses world-wide as well as the International Epilepsy Congress. ILAE regional congresses are tailored to meet the educational needs and specific challenges of the local area.
The programme covers all aspects of epileptology, but five main themes have been selected, representing Adult Epileptology, Basic Science, Surgery, Paediatric Epileptology and Pharmacology, and each with an associated Main Session.
The programme covers cutting-edge research in the field of epilepsy through presentations from the key opinion leaders in the field, including lectures by world-renowned scientists on topics at the interfaces of epilepsy. Main and parallel sessions will feature presentations by world-renowned experts and will be complemented by interactive sessions (EEC Forums, Brainstorming Sessions etc.), teaching courses and sessions, and oral and poster presentations.
