Robert Yves Carlier  is Professor of Radiology at the Université Versailles – St Quentin en Yvelines / Paris Saclay, France. In 2016, he became Head of the Department of Radiology Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Paris Ouest (Raymond Poincaré, Ambroise Paré, Sainte Périne), at Assistance Publique-Hôpitaux de Paris (AP-HP).

He is head of the imaging, nuclear medicine and pathology Medico-Universitary Department of the GH APHP Paris Saclay University.

He is specialized in medical imaging dedicated to disabled patients.

Pr. Carlier’s research focuses on diagnostic neuroradiology, interventional and diagnostic musculoskeletal radiology, and, in particular, whole-body muscle and spine imaging.

Pr Carlier is a member of national and international societies including the French Society of Radiology and Medical Imaging, the French Society of Neuroradiology (SFNR), the European College of Radiology (ECR). He has authored or co-authored more than 200 articles published in peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of Neuroradiology, the Journal of Radiology, Spine, Radiology, European Radiology, Neurology, Neuromuscular disorders, American Journal of Radiology with a H index score at 39.
