Nataliia Samonenko

Dr. Nataliia Samonenko graduated from Vinnytsia National Pirogov Memorial Medical University (Ukraine) in 2002 and completed her clinical residency at the National Medical Academy in Kyiv in 2010.

She worked as a general practice pediatrician until 2015, while simultaneously beginning her work in 2011 at the Center for Metabolic Diseases at the National Children’s Specialized Hospital “Okhmatdyt” in Kyiv.

Since 2022, she has served as the Head of the Center for Rare Diseases and Gene Therapy at Okhmatdyt. The center focuses on several key areas: neuromuscular disorders, metabolic diseases, cystic fibrosis, rare bone disorders, and immunodeficiencies.

Dr. Samonenko is recognized as a national expert in rare diseases in Ukraine.
