Matteo Garibaldi is a MD, PhD neurologist involved in research and clinical activities related to acquired and inherited Neuromuscular Diseases. His specific interest of research is particularly focused on Muscle Diseases, including deep phenotyping, muscle imaging, pathogenic mechanisms, genotype-phenotype correlation studies, animal models and development of experimental therapies including immunomodulatory and gene therapies. He studies at Sapienza University of Rome but he spent many years across Europe in different Neuromuscular Centres (Centre de Reference Neuromusculaire de Nice, Myology Institute at Pitiè-Salpetrière Hospital in Paris and Unidad de Enfermedades Neuromusculares, Hospital Santa Creu i Sant Pau in Barcelona).
