Doctor Fernand Pauly is the founder of the Functional Evaluation and Rehabilitation Service

Medical studies mainly in Strasbourg and Nancy with exchanges with Heidelberg and Paris, specialization in pediatrics and functional rehabilitation and rehabilitation, CES in physiology and sports medicine, inter-university diploma in the treatment of childhood pain.

Since 1989, doctor at the Center Hospitalier de Luxembourg, associate practitioner in developmental neurology and neuro-orthopedics at the CHU Strasbourg, lecturer and educational coordinator at the University of Strasbourg.

The main centers of study, teaching and professional activities concern early childhood development, neuromuscular pathology in children and adolescents and pediatric neuro-orthopedics.

Specialized consultations devoted to developmental delay, the management of abnormal movements and hypertonia, and growth disorders of the back and limbs.

Currently, doctor in the Functional Evaluation and Rehabilitation service at the Hospital Center (Department of the musculoskeletal system), medical directorate of the Early Rehabilitation Service, president of the Hospital Ethics Committee, secretary and spokesperson of the Luxembourg Society of Pediatrics, member of the boards of directors of the Early Rehabilitation Service and the Kraizbierg Foundation.

Projects to develop:
• management of pains in the child’s musculoskeletal system
• palliative care of children and adolescents
• intra-hospital ethical reflection
