Anders Oldfors

Anders Oldfors is senior professor at the University of Gothenburg and consultant pathologist at the Sahlgrenska University Hospital. He was Editor-in-Chief of Neuromuscular Disorders 2020-2025. His research has combined pathology and genetics to identify new muscle diseases, mainly mitochondrial diseases, congenital myopathies such as myosin myopathies and glycogen storage diseases. Another project concerns inclusion body myositis. In May 2026 he is author or co-author of 316 articles listed in PubMed. Together with Caroline Sewry and Victor Dubowitz he is author of the book “Muscle Pathology- a practical approach” published 2021.
