DGM - German Myositis Diagnosis Group

The myositis group was founded in 2010 under the name “Aktion Myositis” by Prof. Dr. Jens Schmidt (neurologist) and patient Dr. Martin Taylor († 2019) and joined the German Society for Muscle Diseases (DGM) two years later as a diagnostic group. It now has over 350 members. The myositis group represents those affected by an inflammatory muscle disease and their environment and implements the tasks and goals of the DGM, especially for these neuromuscular diseases.
