Dr. Joke De Vocht

Dr Joke De Vocht is a postdoctoral researcher in the laboratory for Neurobiology (part of the Neuroscience Department at the University of Leuven (KU Leuven) and a clinical (neuro)psychologist at University Hospitals Leuven.

Joke De Vocht studied clinical psychology at KU Leuven. Since 2016, she worked as a clinical psychologist at the Neuromuscular Reference Centre at University Hospitals Leuven. She completed her PhD on CEREBRAL GLUCOSE METABOLISM IN THE FTD – MND SPECTRUM, capturing Disease Heterogeneity From the Presymptomatic to the Symptomatic Disease Stage in 2022. During her PhD she finalized a continuing education in clinical neuropsychology.

Her current research focuses on the interplay of neurodegeneration and neuroinflammation in ALS.
