Laura Carrera García

Since 2018,  I have been working in the Neuromuscular Diseases Unit of the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital as Pediatric Neurologist and Clinical Research facultative. SJD Hospital is a reference hospital from Spain and the Neuromuscular Centre is pionnering in advanced therapies in NMDs. Among my tasks, I have been dedicated to the clinical, electromyographic, genetics and anatomopathological diagnosis of paediatric patients with neuromuscular diseases. As a clinical researcher I am focus in clinical trials and natural history projects mainly related to peripheral neuropathies, spinal muscular atrophy, hereditary spastic paraplegias and Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
