Sascha Vermeer

Prof. Dr. Sascha Vermeer works as a clinical (neuro)geneticist at the Department  of Human Genetics  of the University Hospital Leuven (Belgium) since 2018. She is specialised in neurogenetics. She was trained at Radboud UMC (The Netherlands) and she did her PhD on autosomal rcessive cerebellar ataxias.

In her clinic she sees patients for genetic counseling with neuromuscular disorders, neuropathies, and neurodegenerative disorders including movement disorders. Together with the psychologist she also sees patients coming for predictive testing.
