UNIVERSITARY HOSPITAL VIRGEN DEL ROCIO

Our Unit of Neuromuscular Disorders at Hospital Universitario Virgen del Rocío/IBiS is the Reference Unit for Neuromuscular diseases in adult and pediatric patients within Andalucía (8 million population) and it has been recently designated as National Reference Unit by the Spanish Ministry of Health (CSUR). Our Neuropathology Lab is also reference in Andalucía, receiving all the muscle, nerve, and brain biopsies from patients suffering from neuromuscular and neurodegenerative disorders. Located in the Hospital Universitario Virgen del Rocío campus, our Unit develops their clinical activity attending to in-patients, out-patients, patients at daycare unit, the ALS multidisciplinary unit, and performing all the complementary tests required for the diagnostic process in the field of the neuromuscular disorders.
