Spierziekten Nederland stands up for people with a muscular disease. Spierziekten Nederland is committed to a better quality of care, effective scientific research, good education and information, also for doctors and professional caregivers.
Spierziekten Nederland (formerly: Vereniging Spierziekten Nederland, VSN) has been committed to this since 1967.
It concerns the members

Spierziekten Nederland is an association for, but especially of people with a muscular disease. The members play an important role within the association. Many of them are active as volunteers within the association. This also determines the character of Spierziekten Nederland: a decisive organization, carried by committed people.

The hundreds of volunteers form the pillars of the organization. They bring people into contact with each other, organize meetings and cooperate in the production of information material. The volunteers are supported by a team of professional staff at the national office in Baarn.
