Description:
Tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC) is a rare genetic disorder that can affect any organ system. Many manifestations can be associated with severe morbidity and potentially death, so early diagnosis and appropriate lifelong surveillance and management are crucial. Given that the clinical manifestations of TSC are varied in age of onset and the extent of systemic involvement and severity, TSC clinical features may present dynamically over the course of an individual’s life. In this session we will review the diagnostic criteria and management guidelines for TSC with a special focus on TSC-associated neuropsychiatric disorders.
