I am working at Tartu University Hospital as a neurologist since 2014 after receiving the Degree in Medicine (MD) in 2009 and completing my residency in neurology at University of Tartu. In 2013 I defended the PhD thesis “Etiology of traumatic spinal cord injury in Estonia. Brain activation in the acute phase of traumatic spinal cord injury”. I continued my scientific career as a postdoctoral researcher at Uppsala University from 2016 to 2018 with myasthenia gravis as the main theme.

Working at the neurophysiological laboratory (neurologist with subspecialty in neurophysiology) at Tartu University Hospital keeps me in contact with patients with different neuromuscular diseases and other neurologists who are treating these patients all over Estonia.
